'Annie Leigh' Next In Line For Release

Next in line for release is my recording of the romantic ballad, Annie Leigh.  This song was written in 1853 by A. Annie Wade and, as best as I can determine, no recording has ever been available to the public.

My rendition is taken from the original sheet music and utilizes acoustic grand piano for the accompaniment.  The recording is in Thomas Young's Well Temperament of 1799 in an effort to re-create the audio experience of listeners during the 19th Century.  More information on this upcoming release will be published on this blog as it becomes available.

'Once Upon A Time' Released

Once Upon A Time, written in 1962 by Charles Strouse with lyrics by Lee Adams, was first recorded that same year by Tony Bennett.  My cover version, released on October 13,  employs electric guitar, electric bass, and drum kit in the instrumental accompaniment.  Play time is 2:46.

Links to several streaming services for my recording are here.  I hope you like it!

'Linger Awhile' Released

My recording of the Vincent Rose/Harry Owens song Linger Awhile was released to streaming services on September 29th.  The song was written in 1923 and first recorded in 1924 by Marcia Freer and Lewis James.  My version of this classic includes clarinet, acoustic grand piano, acoustic bass, and drum kit in the instrumental accompaniment.  At 1:50 it is a little shorter than most such recordings.

Here is the link to my version on several streaming platforms.  I hope you enjoy it!
